Name: Cecilee Russell

Position: President

Year in School: Junior

Major: Business Management

Favorite Bible Verse: Psalm 118:24 – “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

It puts perspective on any good opportunity that I am presented with… good or bad. It reminds me of how intentional God’s plan is.

If you could invent anything, what would it be? I would invent a laundry management robot. I’ve tried for 20 years to keep my laundry off the floor, but it somehow always ends up in massive piles all over my room. It’s a serious problem.

Name: Tori Cole

Position: Treasurer

Year in School: Senior

Major: Business Management and Marketing

Favorite Bible Verse: Zephaniah 3:17 – The LORD your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

If you could live in any time period what would it be and why? I would LOVE to live in the 1920′s! The Roaring Twenties just sound so glamorous and exciting – speakeasies, flappers, gangsters, jazz music, art… It would be so fun to get to be in such an important time of cultural change and growth in America’s history.

Name: Brendan Dettwyler

Position: Communications Coordinator

Year in School: Junior

Major: Accounting & Finance

Favorite Bible Verse: John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

If you could live in any decade, which would you live in? I would live in the 2010′s, because there is no better time than the present.

Name: Kelsea Banks

Position: Ministries Coordinator

Year in School: Senior

Major: Humanities

Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 8:31-39 – What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died – more than that, who was raised – who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Who would play you if your life was made into a movie?
Florence Welch of the band Florence + The Machine. She’s not an actress per say, but I just imagine us as very similar characters; one minute she’s finding a dark corner to just sit and listen to the world and the next she’s belting out some melodious manifesto of discovery and love.

Name: Kyle Boardman

Position: Activities Coordinator

Year in School: Junior

Major: Pastoral Ministries

Favorite Bible Verse: Colossians 3:12-15 – Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

If you could be a member of any TV sitcom, which would it be? Theo Huxtable, for a couple reasons. First, I only have sisters. Second, how cool would it be to have Cliff Huxtable as a father?

… Zippity-zop cool. That’s how cool it would be, if you were wondering.

Name: Kristin Aalto

Position: Media Arts Coordinator

Year in School: Junior

Major: Psychology

Favorite Bible Verse: Romans 5:3-5 – Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

If you could change anything what would it be? I would make a day longer than 24 hours. Sometimes there just isn’t enough time in a day to get everything done.

Name: Travis Carr

Position: Organizations Coordinator

Year in School: Junior

Major: Social Studies Education

Favorite Bible Verse: Ephesians 2:4-5 – But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved.

If I could invent anything,  I would make a TV sitcom that has Ryan Gosling starring as me who would be in a witness protection program, with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as his alias, taking place in the 1920′s.
